Poker chip Poker chip These are all R.T. Plastics chips using the same mold but different labels. These are high quality chips used in many casinos. They all have very nice multi-colored labels. The labels could be peeled off and then stuck back on without any noticeable damage. The labels are very high quality and are hard to scratch or tear. Once you take the label off there are slightly visible, but un-feelable, injection mold marks. There are no edge ridges on this chip. Scratching the plastic composite left almost no visible marks. The plastic has a much softer feel than a typical 11.5 gram composite chip.

These chips have a good sound and feel and balance. They stack well but are a bit slippery.

I received numerous samples of these chips. Sample diameters were 39.40, 39.47 and 39.54mm. Three chips stacked together were 10.06mm thick.

Make sure to also check out the information about R.T. Plastics chips on my chip Manufacturers page.

Chip 300 500 650 1000
Comp 6 N N 11.5 N Y 50 .59 177 295 379

Poker chip These are gold foil stamped on 11.5 gram composite chips. Basically, these are 'Dice' chips with gold foil stamping on them. The denomination and the words "High Roller Casino" are stamped on the chip. The stamping was impossible to scratch off with a fingernail but, of course, could be scratched off with a knife.

There are six solid edge spots and no edge ridges. There is the typical small injection  mold pimple in a groove on one side of the chip.

Comp 8S N N 11.5 Y Y 50 .59 177 295 379

Poker chip These are 11.5 gram composite chips that are a much higher quality than a typical 11.5 gram composite. The labels are impossible to peel off with a fingernail or a knife. They are difficult to scratch and hide scratches well.

There are four pairs of large stripes, or eight edge spots, depending on how you look at it. The end result is acceptable and quite nice in its simplicity. There are no edge ridges on these chips. I could not find an injection pimple.

These are gold foil stamped on 11.5 gram composite chips, exactly the same as the High Roller Casino chips described above except without the words "High Roller Casino". They do have the denomination printed on them.

Chip 300 500 650 1000
Brass 5 N N 16 n/a Y 100 .79 235 395

Poker chip The Tangiers Casino Brass 16 gram chips are the heaviest chips on the market. These are very high quality & heavy duty home poker chips, having an old fashion look and feel. This chip was inspired by the movie "Casino".

Not surprisingly, this chip sounds exactly like a heavy coin. The edges are not too sharp and the chip has a comfortable feel to it.

I was sent one of these chips. It measured 39.15mm in diameter and 3.10mm thick.

There are denominations on this chip. There are five solid edge spots which can be somewhat difficult to see due to the lack of contrast with the brass. Scratching the clay/composite color that makes up the edge spots, and continues on to the top and bottom of the chip, results in very little damage. The colors on the non-brass are very deep.

I like this chip. It is unique in that it is an all metal chip rather than a plastic chip with a big metal insert, as some "metal" chips are. I use this chip as a card protector at some tournaments that I play and it always receives good reviews.
