Cardroom Supply Poker Chip Reviews

Cardroom Supply has two versions of the Club Desperado poker chip. They have this Blue Chip Co. real clay chip and they also have a ceramic Club Desperado chip (shown below).

These are nice chips with three or four very nice bi-color edge spots, except for the 50¢ chip which does not have a multi-color edge spot. They come in standard colors and denominations.

Sample chip diameters were 39.04, 39.07, 39.06, 39.03, and 39.06mm. Three chips stacked together was 9.90mm thick. Seven chips stacked together was 23.14mm thick. Sample chip weights were 9.20, 8.45, 8.87, 8.45, 8.37, 8.56, and 8.40 grams.

These chips do have denominations printed on them but the printing is so small that some players might never even notice. The labels are typical Blue Chip Co. labels, indestructible but off-centered on many chips. Maybe I've grown used to the slightly off-centered labels because they don't bother as much as they did a year or two ago. I like these chips, they have a lovely western motive that would fit in well in any saloon.

This is the Chipco ceramic version of the Club Desperado poker chip. The graphics are much different and wilder than on the clay version of this chip. They almost have a pop art look to them.

These chips have the typical Chipco edge spots - three pairs of stripes. The pimples on the rolling edge were very small.

Sample chip diameters were 39.37, 39.32, 39.34, 39.36, and 39.35mm. Three chips stacked together was 10.02mm thick. Seven chips stacked together was 23.28mm thick. Sample chip weights were 10.61, 10.60, 10.58, 10.62, 10.56, 10.58, and 10.59 grams.

These are nice Chipco chips with a funky Tex-Mex design.

These are nice Chipco ceramic chips meant for large denomination tournaments. The denominations run from 25 to 25,000 so don't expect to play nickel/dime poker with them. They are tailor-made for a large tournament that starts out with 25-50 blinds that eventually get into the thousands. They have a nice classic look to them and the denominations are easy to read.

Different chips have different edge spots. Some chips, such as the 500 chip have three nice solid edge spots that contrast with the base color. Other chips have a more traditional Chipco pair of stripes that do not do as effective a job. There are bars on the rolling edge on some chips.

Sample chip diameters were 39.39, 39.38, 39.34, 39.41, and 39.32mm. Three chips stacked together was10.06mm thick. Seven chips stacked together was 23.46mm thick. Sample chip weights were 10.68, 10.68, 10.67, 10.61, 10.66, 10.67, and 10.66 grams.
