Custom Poker Rulebook

I make Robert's Rules of Poker and the HomePokerTourney Poker Tournament Rulebook available in a customized format with your business/organization name at the bottom of the front page. This custom poker rule book would be a perfect gift for poker suppliers to send to their customers with shipments of poker chips or other poker products.

The poker rule book may be copied, printed and distributed at your convenience. You can use a computer laser printer to print the rulebook, or you can give a copy of the pdf file to a local printer to have numerous copies made. Keep in mind that Robert Ciaffone alters his Robert's Rules of Poker from time to time (every six months to a year?) so do not print more copies than you need.

What will be altered?

Your business/organization name and up to 3 lines of information will appear at the top of the front page.

I will not alter the rules

Because of the complexity of the rulebook, and the fact that everything is pretty well jammed in there as tight as I can fit it ... I cannot alter the rules contained in this rule book.

House Rules

If you find that some of the rules in this rulebook contradict the rules that you normally use, prepare a separate piece of paper that contains your changes to Robert's Rules of poker. These supplemental rules are referred to as House Rules and are quite common in poker - every card room has its own little idiosyncrasies.

Using house rules is preferable to creating a customized rule book for your poker games. It is relatively easy for a player to show up at a poker room and be shown a one-page piece of paper ("The House Rules") that lists all the rules that differ from Robert's Rules of Poker - you can read all the rule changes within a minute or two. It is much more difficult to be handed a customized 45-page rule book and told that "All the changes are in there!".

Here is a plain text (txt) file of the HPT Poker House Rules. You can use this collection of rules to create your own House Rules. You should not use all these house rules included in the file since some are contradictory. Cut & paste the rules that you want to use or import the entire file into MS Word (Insert | File) or any other word processor and then make all the changes that you want.

Limitations

The rulebook may not be sold. The rulebook may not be altered. The rulebook may not be posted on the internet for download.

Printing instructions

Visit the Poker Tournament Rulebook page for instructions on how to print the poker rulebook in a booklet format. You can then staple the booklet down the spine to bind it.
