If you're looking for a discount on quality poker chips, you might consider joining a 'poker chip group buy'. By joining forces with other poker enthusiasts, and buying in larger quantities, it is possible to obtain a lower price per poker chip. Many of the online poker forums have a regular group of members who are, shall we say, poker chip fanatics! A respected member of the group agrees to collect the money (usually in escrow) from a large group of buyers. He then purchases a large group of chips and ships the chips to each group member. The entire process can take several months.

The big advantage to a poker chip group buy is that you obtain a discount on the price, but the amount saved is not really all that great.
